Easy paddling, epic backdrop.

Peckham Lake is the most accessible and popular of the two lakes found in Norbury Lake Provincial Park, just a short drive from Cranbrook. Warm, calm, and easy to access, the lake is a favourite for relaxed paddling and quiet days on the water.

Surrounded by grassy hills and open forest, Peckham Lake offers wide views toward the rugged Rocky Mountain peaks known as The Steeples. On calm days, the mountains reflect beautifully on the lake’s glassy surface, making it an especially scenic spot for canoeing, kayaking, or stand-up paddleboarding. Because motorized boats are not permitted, the lake maintains a peaceful atmosphere that’s perfect for beginners and families. The warm water also makes it popular for swimming between paddles during the summer months. With a sandy beach, nearby campground, and easy launch access, Peckham Lake offers a laid-back paddling experience set against a striking Rocky Mountain backdrop.
