A spiritual journey through the islands of the Haida

Gwaii Haanas is a world-class wilderness destination at the southern end of Haida Gwaii. It is a place of deep cultural significance where ancient Haida villages stand on the edge of the Pacific. Paddling here is a spiritual experience.

The environment of Gwaii Haanas is incredibly rich, with old-growth rainforests and rugged outer coastlines. The marine life is spectacular, with orcas and sea lions frequently seen. Paddlers can explore the historic village of SGang Gwaay.

Geographically, Gwaii Haanas is a remote and complex archipelago. The weather can be extreme, with frequent rain and fog. Paddlers must be highly skilled, self-sufficient, and respectful of the local Haida culture and the fragile environment.
