The Southern Gulf Islands are located in the Salish Sea near the south-east corner of Vancouver Island. The largest, such as Salt Spring and Galiano, are easily visited via a network of ferry services, while the majority are small, remote oases boasting rocky shorelines teeming with life that are best explored via sea kayak or paddleboard. The kayak fishing for salmon and cod in these parts is also off the hook.
